Born in New York, New York, 1978

Isca Greenfield-Sanders' works exhibits her distinctive feature, by the way in which she guides her photographic images through different mediums, using water-colours, coloured pencils, ink and sometimes oil, to weave together a spectacular piece of work in the process. Often, Isca searches for substitutes to the natural colours of her scenery in a bold move to see if her image would still be able to function. Her preference for life subjects immersed in the everyday ensures that her art is never inert, always suggestive of a warmth and intimacy that is invested by the artist.
