biography/
Julian Opie's specialty lies in the technology of computerized art, an extremely stylized art form that enables the reduction of photographs into an extended reproduction. The end-product is a minimalist piece, characterized by black outlines on flat bases of colour, with little or no details, showcasing art and life as stripped to its bare essentials. In short, Julian's works are a satisfying display of the well-executed and well-thought-out interplay of the relationship between what we recognize as nature or artifice, appearance and reality, as experienced and observed.
