biography/
Roy Kortick possesses a highly individual and original vision in his work, a magnificent fusion of phantasmagoric fragments and modified animal forms within landscapes of patterns and symbols. He paints fantastic assemblages of creatures and scenes that brim with the enthusiasm and colour of the carnivalesque, sometimes bordering on the absurd. Roy's works are infused with a sense of whimsical complexity and while his craft may appear almost child-like and cartoon-like at times, there is no doubt that his work tells a tale of its own.
